Black Friday in PrestaShop 8.1+ and 9
Black Friday won't wait for your developer. Set it up yourself in one afternoon.
Tell Claude what discount, on what and until when. Claude shows which products the promotion covers and their new prices. You approve, and after the weekend prices go back on their own.

These are the requests you usually send your developer right before the busiest week of the year. With TellMyShop you ask for them in a conversation, or pick the ready-made job "Prepare Black Friday" and, after the sale, "After the sale: clean up".
01
Category discounts with a start and end time
A discount on categories, brands or features. It starts and ends at the time you give, so on Monday you don't have to remember to remove it.
“From Friday 00:00 to Monday 23:59, give 20% off Lanterns and Garden.”
02
Discounts on selected products
A different price for specific products or variants, with dates.
“Give 30% off these five lamps, weekend only.”
03
A discount code for regulars
A code with a usage limit and an expiry date, ready for your newsletter.
“Create code BF2026 for 15%, valid until Monday, 200 uses max.”
04
Free shipping over an amount
Set a free shipping threshold for the promotion.
“Free shipping over €50.”
05
A promotion terms page
Claude writes a page with the promotion rules and adds it to your shop. You see the text before it goes live.
“Create a terms page for the Black Friday promotion.”
06
Hide sold-out products
Products that are gone disappear from the shop and redirect to their category, so no one lands on an empty page.
“Hide out-of-stock products and redirect them to their category.”
07
Shop check before the ad traffic
works in the free version
Claude checks broken links, log errors, maintenance mode, SSL and products customers can't find in categories. The check only reads your shop and changes nothing.
“Check my shop before Black Friday.”
08
Report after the weekend
works in the free version
What sold best compared with the week before and what ran out of stock. A few sentences with numbers from your shop.
“What sold on Black Friday?”
In the free version the "Prepare Black Friday" job gives you a plan for the sale: products, discounts and dates. It saves nothing. Setting up promotions, codes and shipping, and cleaning up afterwards, need a license.
This is what a promotion looks like before it's saved
Before anything changes in your shop, Claude shows the products, old and new prices and the dates. If something's off, correct it in a sentence or cancel.
From Friday 00:00 to Monday 23:59, give 20% off Lanterns.
Fri 27 Nov, 00:00 to Mon 30 Nov, 23:59
| Stella garden lantern | €34.00 | €27.20 |
| Luna solar lantern | €21.00 | €16.80 |
| Nord wooden lantern | €49.00 | €39.20 |
The promotion covers 24 products in Lanterns. On 1 December prices go back on their own.
Safe even in the busiest week
- You see every change before it's saved and approve it yourself.
- Undo the whole promotion in one sentence if something goes wrong.
- The change history shows what changed, when and by whom.
- Customers' personal data is masked before it reaches Claude.
Do it before 20 November
Until 20 November, test everything on a copy of your shop and set up promotions, codes and the shop check. In the last week before Black Friday change only promotions, with a preview, then spend the weekend on orders.
The module launches on 29 October, before Black Friday
Join the list. You'll get the Founders price, €149 instead of €199, 72 hours before everyone else, from 26 October.
Black Friday questions
Will the promotion switch off on its own after the weekend?
Yes. The promotion has an end date and time from the start, so prices go back without you.
Will it work with my theme?
Discounts, codes and free shipping are standard PrestaShop settings, so they work in any theme that shows sale prices.
What if Claude sets something up wrong?
Nothing is saved until you've seen the preview and approved it. A saved change can be undone in one sentence.
Do I need to pay for Claude?
No. Any Claude account works, free too.
