No. If you can install a module in PrestaShop and copy an address into Claude's settings, you can set it up. After that you just write, the way you'd ask a colleague. Your developer will find the technical details in our documentation.

PrestaShop 8.1 and newer, including 9, on a server with PHP 8.1 or newer. Versions 8.0 and 1.7 aren't supported. If you're on 1.7, join the waiting list: we'll decide on 1.7 support after launch, based on how many stores ask for it.

No. Any Claude account will do, including a free one. A paid account lets you have longer and more frequent conversations. You pay Anthropic for Claude, separately from TellMyShop.

Yes, and test copies are free. The copy has to be reachable from the internet with https in its address, because Claude connects to it online. A copy that only runs on your own computer won't work.

Claude always shows you the change first: the current text or price next to the new one. The module only saves a change that went through this preview, and Claude waits for your yes. If you want to be extra careful, set Claude to ask before every step, or keep the module in read-only mode. Looking around and checking your store change nothing, so Claude does those without asking.

Ask Claude, for example: "Undo the changes you made to Sofas yesterday." Every change is kept with its old version, so it can be put back, even 40 products at once. Theme files are copied before every change and can be restored the same way.

Yes. After installation Claude can only look. You decide when it may edit texts. Prices, the look of your store, modules and service mode each have their own switch and stay off until you turn them on. Service mode only ever runs for a few hours. Claude also gets its own employee account, so it can only do what that account is allowed to do.

Your customers' names, emails and addresses are hidden from Claude by default. Claude works on your catalog, texts and settings. Version 2.6 adds three access levels (none, hidden, full access for a few hours with a stated reason), blocked data files and an encrypted change history. Your shop, as the data controller, is responsible for GDPR compliance. The module is designed to help you with it, not to do it for you.

No. Claude makes design changes in a way that survives theme and module updates.

The module runs in your store. When Claude needs information, it goes from your store to your own Claude account and nowhere else. We don't keep your products or your customers' data. The license check only sends what's needed to confirm your license: the key, your store's address and version numbers.

You'll usually spot it in the preview. If something slips through, undo it. Claude follows your instructions on tone and length, so show it an example of a description you like.

PrestaShop offers a free official connection focused on orders, customers and the catalog. It needs a PrestaShop Account and PrestaShop 8.2 or newer. TellMyShop takes care of texts, Google, prices, the look of your store and finding problems, with a preview before every change and an undo after it. It needs no PrestaShop Account and runs on PrestaShop 8.1 and newer. You can use both.

You can, and many people do. With TellMyShop the copying disappears: Claude reads the actual product, writes the new text, saves it after you approve and keeps the old version. For 40 products that's one conversation instead of 40 rounds of copy and paste.

Description modules usually do one job and need their own paid AI key. TellMyShop uses the Claude account you already have and also handles Google clean-ups, categories, information pages, prices, the look of your store and finding problems.

No. You pay once and the module keeps working. Updates and support are included for 12 months; renewing them after that is optional.

One store address. www.myshop.com and myshop.com count as one. Test copies don't count.

Yes, once a year per store from your account, and more often through support.

You won't notice. The module checks the license about once a day and keeps working for 14 days without a response. If a license is no longer valid, Claude can still look but can't change anything. Your store itself is never switched off.

Yes. Partners earn 25% of the net value of every license and renewal bought through their link within 90 days of the click. Their clients get 18 months of updates instead of 12. After three sales, the agency is listed in our partner directory with a link to its site. Sign up from your account; we approve partners by hand.

Model Context Protocol, the open standard Claude uses to connect to other software. The module exposes your store as an MCP server. You add its address once in Claude as a custom connector. Any Claude account will do, including a free one.

No. Writes for products, categories and pages go through ObjectModel, the same path as an employee clicking Save: field validation, only changed fields saved, actionObject…Update* hooks (and actionProductSave / actionProductUpdate), search reindex for indexed fields, a PrestaShop log entry and a change-history entry. Prices, promotions and stock use SpecificPrice, CartRule and StockAvailable. Theme edits are file writes with a backup first.

A write call without confirmation returns a preview and a change_token: an HMAC of the tool, its arguments and a hash of the "before" state, single use and valid 30 minutes. If the object changes in the back office after the preview, execution is refused.

HTTPS only, Origin limited to claude.ai and claude.com, 120 calls and 60 writes per hour, IP lockout after 20 failed attempts in 10 minutes, an optional IP allowlist and a main switch. Theme, module and service mode tools are only available through a separate service connector with a mandatory IP allowlist. The connector token is stored as a SHA-256 hash.

License key, normalised domain, shop URL, an installation ID and the PrestaShop, PHP and module versions. No products, orders or customer data.

MCP is an open standard, so other clients may connect, but we only test and support Claude.
