ps_create_child_theme
Write · preview + approveBlock 3 · Appearance & deployments (service connector, off by default)Service connector onlyBlock off after install
Creates a child theme that holds your changes, so theme updates don't wipe them.
Ask Claude
„Before we change the theme, set up a child theme so the next theme update doesn't wipe our edits.”
Example preview
New child theme "classic-child" with parent "classic". Files to create: config/theme.yml, assets/css/custom.css.
Technical details
Creates a child theme of the current theme, so your own changes live in the child and the parent theme can be updated without losing them. Service connector only (allowlisted IP addresses).

Check the result with ps_inspect_page.
What you see before anything is saved
Claude first calls the tool without confirming it. The module returns a preview (current and new values) and a single-use token valid for 30 minutes. Claude shows you the preview and saves the change only after your yes.
