Clean up duplicate feature values
Paid versionContent & SEOReady job: Tidy up features and filters
Your shop filters look tidy again: one 'Black' instead of three versions of it.
What it replaces: a day of feature cleanup
What you write to Claude
„the Colour feature has duplicates like Black/black. move all products to one value per colour”
The problem
The colour filter shows 'Black', 'black' and 'black ' as three options. Customers think we're sloppy.
What Claude does
- Claude lists the values of the feature and spots near-duplicates.
- It proposes which value to keep.
- It finds the products using the other versions.
- You approve, and the products are moved to the one clean value.
What you get
Products point to one clean value per colour. The leftover empty values can be deleted in the back office.
You stay in control
You see every change before it is saved, nothing happens without your yes, and you can undo it later.
Related use cases
- Fill in missing product features for filters

- Tools
- ps_list_features, ps_search_products, ps_set_product_features, ps_get_ready_job
Step by step
- Calls ps_list_features to find the feature, then again with feature_id to list values with product counts and likely duplicates.
- Proposes which value to keep for each group (usually the one with most products).
- Finds products using the other values with ps_search_products (features column).
- Calls ps_set_product_features with value_id of the kept value, mode replace, up to 100 items. Shows a preview with the old and new values side by side and waits for your approval.
- After your yes, saves it like the Save button in the back office and logs it in the change history. Layered navigation filters then show one option per colour.
Safety
Every write shows a preview first and runs only after you approve it (one-time token, valid 30 minutes). Each change is logged and can be undone with ps_revert_change. Feature values affect shop filters, so check the filter block on the category page after the change.
