Add a site verification code to every page
You verify your shop in Google or another service without hunting for the right file.
What it replaces: 30-60 min of developer time
What you write to Claude
„Add <meta name="google-site-verification" content="abc123"> to the head of every page via the theme's head partial. Show me the diff.”
The problem
I need to verify the shop in a webmaster tool and they want a line of code at the top of every page. I don't know where that goes.
What Claude does
- Claude finds the part of the theme that is loaded on every page.
- It prepares the one-line insertion and warns you about anything that loads from outside.
- After your yes it saves with a backup and checks that the code is there.
What you get
The verification code is on every page.
You stay in control
You see every change before it is saved, nothing happens without your yes, and you can undo it later. Changes to the shop's look use a separate, extra-protected connection, usually set up by whoever looks after your shop. Every file is backed up before it changes.
Related use cases
- Check that language versions point to each other correctly
- Bring back the previous version of the shop's look after a bad change

- Tools
- ps_list_theme_files, ps_read_theme_file, ps_write_theme_file, ps_clear_cache, ps_inspect_page
Step by step
- Finds the head partial (templates/_partials/head.tpl) with ps_list_theme_files and reads it.
- Prepares a one-line insertion and calls ps_write_theme_file.
- The preview shows the diff and warns about any new external script or domain.
- After your approval, saves with a backup, clears the cache and confirms the tag with ps_inspect_page.
Safety
Block 3 works only through the service connector: a separate token accepted only from allowlisted IP addresses, off after installation. Theme files are backed up automatically before every write and can be restored with ps_restore_file_backup. Limit: 20 theme file writes per hour. New third-party scripts trigger a warning in the preview, so you see what will load on your shop.
