Remove an add-on you no longer use, safely
You clear out unused add-ons in a safe order: switched off first, removed only when nothing missed them.
What it replaces: half a day of testing which add-ons are needed
What you write to Claude
„which modules are installed but switched off or not shown anywhere? switch the old popup and slider ones off for a week first, then we'll uninstall”
The problem
We have 120 add-ons and nobody knows which are still needed. Some slow the shop down, but removing the wrong one could break something.
What Claude does
- Claude lists add-ons that are switched off or don't show anywhere on the page.
- It switches off the ones you pick, keeping all their data, so you can test for a week.
- Before removal it tells you that the add-on's data and settings will be gone for good.
- It removes an add-on only after you type its exact name.
What you get
Unused add-ons are gone, and each one was tested switched off before it was removed.
You stay in control
You see every change before it is saved and nothing happens without your yes. Work on add-ons uses a separate, extra-protected connection, usually set up by whoever looks after your shop, and add-on files are backed up before they change.

- ps_list_modules, ps_toggle_module, ps_uninstall_module, ps_check_shop_health, ps_manage_hook_positions
Step by step
- Lists modules with ps_list_modules (active filter) and, if Appearance is on, where they display with ps_manage_hook_positions (action list).
- Switches candidates off with ps_toggle_module, with preview and approval; undo with ps_revert_change.
- After the test period calls ps_uninstall_module with confirm_name = the exact module name; the preview states that PrestaShop deletes the module's data and settings. Files stay on the server.
- Re-checks with ps_check_shop_health.
Safety
Modules (block 4) work only through the service connector (separate token accepted only from allowlisted IP addresses) and are off after installation; the owner gets an e-mail when the block is switched on. Every write shows a preview, runs only after your approval (one-time token) and is logged in the change history. Uninstalling cannot be undone: the module's tables and configuration are deleted. Switching off (ps_toggle_module) is always offered first.
