Update carrier prices after a courier price change
New courier prices are in the checkout on the right day, range by range, without a single typo.
What it replaces: 1 h in carrier settings
What you write to Claude
„the courier price list changed (pasted below). update our DPD and InPost prices for each weight range, switch off the old pallet carrier, then fix the shipping page”
The problem
The courier raises prices from the 1st. I have three carriers with weight ranges and I always get one range wrong in the back office.
What Claude does
- Claude reads your carriers with their current prices for each weight or price range.
- It puts the new price list next to the old prices so you can see every difference.
- After your yes it saves the new prices and switches off the carrier you no longer use.
- It updates the shipping information page as a separate step.
What you get
The checkout charges the new prices, the old carrier is off and the shipping page matches.
You stay in control
You see every change before it is saved, nothing happens without your yes, and you can undo it later. Prices, shipping and discounts stay switched off until you turn them on.

Step by step
- Reads carriers, ranges and prices for the default country's zone with ps_list_carriers.
- Calls ps_update_shipping (action set_prices: carrier_id, prices [{from, price}] net, in existing ranges; zone_id defaults to the default country's zone), with preview.
- Calls ps_update_shipping (action set_carrier_active, active=false) for the retired carrier.
- Updates the shipping page with ps_update_cms_page.
- New carriers and new ranges are added in the back office (Shipping > Carriers); the tool changes prices in existing ranges only.
Safety
Commerce (block 2) runs on the daily connector, is off after installation and has its own switch. Claude acts as the connector's PrestaShop employee, so the action must also be allowed in that employee's profile. Every write shows a preview, runs only after your approval (single-use token valid 30 minutes, blocked if the data changed in the back office in the meantime), is logged in the change history and can be undone with ps_revert_change. Carrier prices are net, as in the carrier settings.
