Your first review and first change

1. Review your site

In a chat, pick the Site review and improvement plan job from the + menu in Claude, or write:

Review my site and tell me what to fix first.

Claude checks SEO, 404 errors, technical health and content, and in a shop the products too. You get a list of fixes, most important first. In the free Audit this is where it ends: Claude shows what to fix and how, but saves nothing.

2. Allow changes (full version with an active licence)

In your dashboard open TellMyShop > Scope of work. Under Working mode choose Read and changes and click Save the scope of work. You'll get an email saying protection was lowered. That's expected: the plugin emails you every time this kind of setting changes.

In Claude, refresh the connector or start a new chat so Claude sees what it can now do.

3. A small change, then undo it

Write a new meta description for the post "How to choose hiking boots".

Claude shows a preview with the old description and the new one. Ask for as many tweaks as you like. When you're happy, write "yes, save it". Only then does the description reach your site, in your SEO plugin.

Now write "undo that change". Claude shows a preview of the undo, and after your "yes" it restores the previous version. You can also see everything in TellMyShop > Change history.

Good to know

  • Bigger jobs (e.g. meta descriptions for 40 posts) work the same way: one preview, one approval, and the whole batch can be undone.
  • Standing rules for your site, such as "use British spelling, address readers informally", go in TellMyShop > Settings, in the Your rules for Claude field.
  • Prices, coupons and stock in WooCommerce are switched on separately: the Commerce block in Scope of work. A pricing mistake costs money straight away, so you need to confirm that you understand the risk.
  • Claude saves new posts, pages and products as drafts. You publish them yourself.
