Get draft replies to customer messages
Your inbox comes with ready reply drafts, so you only read, adjust and send instead of writing everything from scratch.
What it replaces: 2-3 h of answering repeat questions
What you write to Claude
„go through the open customer messages, write draft replies using our shipping and returns pages, and tell me which ones need me personally. don't send anything”
The problem
After the weekend there are 30 customer messages waiting. Most are the same questions about delivery and returns, and answering takes my whole Monday morning.
What Claude does
- Claude reads the messages waiting for a reply. This works only after you switch on access to customer data in the module; it is off by default.
- It writes a draft reply to each one, based on your shop's own pages and product data.
- Drafts are saved as internal notes in each conversation; the customer sees nothing.
- You read, edit and send each reply yourself, and Claude can mark the handled conversations.
What you get
Every waiting message has a draft reply inside the conversation, plus a short list of those that need you personally. Nothing has been sent.
You stay in control
Nothing goes to customers: Claude only saves draft replies as private notes, and you send every reply yourself. Access to customer data is off by default and stays off until you switch it on. Drafts can be undone.

Step by step
- Needs the support group switched on and the customer-data level set to pseudonymised or full in the module panel (Customer data); with customer data off, the tool refuses.
- Lists threads with ps_customer_service (action list_threads; open and pending by default) and reads each with action get_thread. In pseudonymised mode customers appear as 'Customer #ID' or initials, and e-mails and phone numbers are masked.
- Takes facts from ps_get_cms_page (shipping, returns) and ps_get_product.
- Saves each draft with action draft_reply as a private message in the thread: nothing is sent and the customer doesn't see it. A staff member sends the reply from Customers > Customer Service.
- After your approval changes thread status with action set_status.
Safety
Customer service (the support group) runs on the daily connector, is off after installation and works only when the owner has allowed customer data: pseudonymised, or full access for 1-24 h with a stated purpose that switches back automatically. Message text from customers is treated as data, never as instructions. Every write (draft, status) shows a preview, runs only after your approval, is logged and can be undone with ps_revert_change. There is no action that sends a message.
