Install the plugin

The free Audit and the full version are two separate plugins. Both are called TellMyShop in your plugin list.

TellMyShop Audit (free)

You install the Audit from the wordpress.org directory (once wordpress.org has accepted the plugin; until then, from your TellMyShop account, the same way as the full version below).

  1. Find the plugin. In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins > Add New Plugin and type "TellMyShop" in the search field.
  2. Install it. Next to TellMyShop, click Install Now.
  3. Activate it. Click Activate. TellMyShop appears in the menu on the left.

Audit updates come from wordpress.org, like any other plugin from the directory.

TellMyShop (full version)

You download the full version only from your TellMyShop account.

  1. Download the plugin. Sign in to your TellMyShop account with the link from your email and open Downloads. Choose the full version for WordPress. Don't unzip the ZIP file.
  2. Upload it to your site. In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins > Add New Plugin, click Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP file and click Install Now.
  3. Activate it. Click Activate Plugin. TellMyShop appears in the menu on the left.

Full-version updates come from tellmyshop.pl and show up in the usual place: Dashboard > Updates and your plugin list. You need an active licence update period for them.

Already using the Audit? Follow the same three steps. The full version installs alongside it, and the Audit switches itself off when you activate the full version. Your settings stay. The details are on the Audit and licence page.

After installing

That's it. Now open TellMyShop > Start. In the full version you'll see the Licence card at the top: paste your key. In the Audit there's no key to enter, so you go straight to connecting your site to Claude.

What's set up for you

  • Claude only reads. It looks around your site and saves nothing. In the full version with a licence, you switch on saving changes in the Scope of work tab.
  • The connector is off. You switch it on in the Start tab.
  • Prices, coupons and stock are off (the Commerce block, WooCommerce only).
  • Theme, plugins and server files are off. They need a separate service connection, meant for a technical person.
  • Claude can't see customer data: orders, addresses, emails. You can change this in the Customer data (GDPR) tab.

In the Audit the TellMyShop panel has these tabs: Start, Scope of work, Customer data (GDPR), Settings, Connection log and Ready-made jobs. The full version also has Change history, Technical work and File backups.

Next step: Paste your licence key (full version) or connect your site to Claude (Audit)
